Anyone else notice the trend that as the page number increases, so does the level of madness and chaos in a thread to the point where if you've been in a debate about the OP around say page 4, and you come back later to a thread with 12+ pages, you know that in all likelihood the topic has been completely derailed by now and there is therefore no point in posting in it? :D

The likelihood of the pc brigade showing up grows logarithmically with every post

I pride myself on being an agent of chaos after about page 5ish of any thread

Not too inpressive if you're studying engineering. Enthalpy, now there's a difficult one!

It would be more impressive if you were completing a course on herbal remedies and modern witchcraft and you managed to work a bit of entropy in there

The likelihood of a post getting thanked is inversely related to its sequence in the thread with each new page leading to a logarithmic decrease in thanks potential.

    Bonus graph.

The amount of energy in the system available for mechanical work? Been a while since thermo lectures..

Terry pratchett had a great throwaway line to the effect of; the great race between entropy and enthalpy had been run. And the winner was the favourite from the start

    Bonus graph.

Also, it can be demonstrated that:

As time elapsed increases in any thread the probability of a clash between anti and pro ps/social welfare posters tends to one

My kid won en trophy in the hundred meters last summer. Very proud of it he is. It's up there with his boxing trophies. I didn't know you could win them for getting to page 12 of a thread though... ah, sure every day I'm learning new stuff..

Anyone ever notice how the Persian rug always ends up on the yellow side of the building and you can never figure out why the clock has stopped even though the guy in the shop assured you that your Nike Air Max were never involved in the holocaust?

How many of your 14 and a half thousand posts reference pandas Gummy Panda?

How would you feel if I said I'd eat a panda without giving it a second thought.

What's NOT to like about alligators? There used to be a bakery in Newry that sold alligators. They were like really big long cream donuts, but with buttercream. Not as nice as fresh cream, but it took my mind off the scorch marks on the wall outside the shop.

Newry was where I used bring my pet wasp for wash , this was round time I got married for the first time.
After a couple months the three of decided we couldn't live together.I still miss that wasp.

That's weird. just shy of 7 years and 13,500 odd posts and I've yet the see this mysterious PC Brigade.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

what's worse is the guaranteed posters who think they're hilarious coming in within the first few posts..as has been demonstrated here very nicely
