2fm evening news at the weekend?

    Does anybody know why 2fm are putting their news on at 5 minutes to the hour. Noticed it last week and its the same now tonight. Is it just a Saturday night thing or what. Maybe it's been like that a while but I never noticed before.
    Seems very strange to me!

    May be something on to what SPIN does with quarter to the hour and beat do with 10 to the hour, or else it's just bad timing on the presenters part. .

    What time ? RTE Radio 1 & 2FM carry the same news service overnight

    So far tonight 19:55 20:55 and just now at 21:55. Could have been other times too but that's all I've been listening tonight

    Yeah I noticed it Saturday night too, thought I was late cos had to be ready to go out at 8 and the news came on, looked at my watch and it was only around 5 to 8. Bit weird.

    Their intro says first with irelands news so its obviously trying to be ahead of the pack.
