I hear some surfers telling me Fanore is better than Lahinch for bodyboarding and the surf is different etc

Are some places better for bodyboarding than surfing and visa versa
    ?

I'd say they just want you out of the way.:p

I'd agree with that to a certain extent.I spent all last Summer in Fanore bodyboarding and there were some great days but an awful lot of average days and a lot of days with no surf at all. There did seem to be a lot more bodyboarders down there last Summer than there was previously. If there's ever going to be surf in that area it'll usually be Lahinch that has the best of it.
