Bought a good few led spot lights from a china source. Got free expedited delivery because goods came to 70euro.

I know I can order up to the value of 150 euro without incurring revenue charges but will UPS look for additional charges now?

You will have to pay VAT on goods cost + shipping cost then a UPS admin fee which was €13.50 last time I got a parcel

Be aware that UPS will charge you additional fees if you purchase goods subject to vat (outside the EU).

I purchased a battery from China for €14.63, courier charges were $20.14 (Weight of package ~407 grams)

Today UPS delivered the package but as they had to prepay the €7.01 vat, they are now entitled to charge me an additional €15 brokerage...

The €15 battery has cost me $60.23... more than four times the original cost... something rotten in the state of Denmark...

Do yourself a favor, use another company or pay the few euros extra and buy from an EU supplier...

Another company is going to charge you the exact same thing. Only way around Vat is to buy within the EU.

Closing: Do not bump reply to old threads, it was from 2013.
