hi all..had my open vented system sealed about 3 weeks ago..while system was drained asked plumber to switch the trv from one side of the rad to the other as it was in a hard to reach place.. problem is trv is now leaking on the inlet.. not very bad but bad enough..had noticed this the day plumber did the job and told him. And he said he fixed it. He didn't when i checked later. Text him next day and he said he'd be back. Chasing him ever since. Now he stopped taking my calls. Just discovered bathroom valve weeping also. What do i do in this situation??

You keep ringing him or you get someone else I'm sorry but it is as simple as that.

Text him and tell him to fix the leaks or you'll be sending the bill for the water damage that the leaks are gonna cause

how about taking out a spanner and tightening the nuts that are leaking?

Why would he do a job he paid somebody else to do?

Tried doing it myself. Is it a big job to fix? System must be drained?? Or would pipe freeze do the job?

Generally just giving the nut a bit of a turn does the trick but if that didn't work it probably means the plumber didn't put any sealer on the olive so you'll either have to drain or freeze if a slight tighten dosent do the trick

Tried loosening then tighten couple times. Leaking at olive. Only about 4 inches of pipe is exposed. Is this enough to freeze? Can't understand why he just can't come and fix if its not such a big deal

Does the leak stop when the heating is on. If so it might stop leaking before he comes back which is prob what he is hoping for.

Is it possible to freeze such a short length of pipe (about 4 inches ) and still work on the valve ?
