Contactless Payments for Ulster Bank?

Hi there,
Just received a card from a dormant account I opened with AIB when I started college 3 years ago.
Just wondering, does Ulster Bank have any plans to adopt this service? Seems like a brilliant service to offer. Along with the new app they released, it will sound become a staple in my daily routine.

At the moment they don't have it but I believe it is planned.

They are now available in NI but not here yet it seems.

Why not? You don't have the use it if you do not wish to.

Being a student, most of my transactions during the week are below 15 euro.

Bit selfish of you, if you don't want to use it, request a card without the contactless features. We don't all have to forego faster payments just because you don't like them.

Bit of a non story. All cards have the vulnerabilities to fraud. Whether they have the contactless capabilities or not. You are protected anyway and it's still miles safer than cash.

Not a big fan of this, but as long as the customer can choose it is fine.
Some banks don't give you a choice, unfortunately.

I can understand how some have concerns over this method of payment and it would be great if it was an opt in service. With the way I use my account it would be a big plus. Get off your arses UB and bring it in.
