Boiler not firing

Have a Reillo RDB3 burner, only 12 months old and it's giving trouble.

Sometimes it won't fire at all. The fan starts and when it's about to light it buzzes for a second and stops. The fan keeps running and this cycle keeps going until it finally fires away. It's not a fuel issue as you can smell the kero from the flue. I only noticed it because typically, it shuts down and needs the reset button pushed in again.

Boiler man was back at this only a month ago for a dirty photocell and now this?
I don't get it. Last burner packed in after 6 years and I put it in myself and there were no problems. This one was professionally installed and commissioned and its giving bother for a second time.

Anyone any ideas what it could be?

Can you hear it sparking when it fails to ignite , could be wrong gap at electrodes or dirty electrodes , nozzle might need to be replaced

It's a firebird boiler. I didn't get a print out no, but I watched him do an FGA while he was there. I've pulled out the photocell but it looks clean to me. I can't understand how it's giving so much trouble and only 12 months old.

No. As soon as it fires it ignites, but when it starts this intermittent buzzing it doesn't get that far. It can be doing this for a few minutes and then it'll eventually kick off.

Sounds like its over aired, possibly a partially blocked nozzle, if you can cover the air intake and see if that solves the problem, if it does you will need your man back to re adjust settings.

Is that the air intake at the top of the burner, the big inlet?
