Mondeo with DPF probs after 10,000km

Just brought a Mondeo in for its first service - just under 11k on her and engine management light lit up last week- dealer said DPF was clogged up and they had to do a forced regeneration.

I know all about the DPF issues reported by others but its the first time I've seen it myself having had 4/5 cars with these filters myself, and v surprised that its acting up with such little use- although the km's are tiny, more than half of the driving would be trips over 30 mins at motorway speeds.

Is it a record to see it acting up so early?

4 year servicing and warranty from Ford is great as was the customer service at the D.7 dealer, but prefer not to be having warranty work on new cars

Is it not still under warranty

Its under warranty, so no cost to the owner to fix

My reply was my shock at Shooter88 not getting that from your post.

Motorway speed doesn't necessarily mean the revs are high enough to burn off the DPF.
6th sometimes drops the revs below what would be necessary engine speed.
