Cancelling sky and would like to connect tv to internet. Options?

Hi,

I am in the process of cancelling sky and have installed saorview and can get most uk channels through that box (border region).

However, as a 'compromise' for kids programmes/films etc, I have decided to use netflix so we can watch movies or whatever.

My tv is not internet ready and I would like to know the following if possible.

1. I would like to get a media player of some description that would let me use my wifi to connect to the tv.

2. I would like also to be able to connect my hard drive to the tv via the same media player so that I can watch movies I already have on the drive, as well as photos etc.

Is there a suitable player that will fulfill both these or are all media players sold with hard drives already installed in them?

One of these should do the trick,ask in the Android forum for detailed info as to what they are capable of.Tempted to get one myself-don't need it but feel compelled to have it.

Have one myself and it's pretty good - allows you to stream media from any device on your home network (i.e. the hard drive does not need to be 'plugged in' to the box itself, it can be available anywhere on the network)
