Spring Classics and Tours

15-02-2013 3:02pm#1I know that the image of Pro Cycling has taken quite a hammering (and rightly so) over the past few months but I'm still looking forward to the upcoming classics season!
Interesting to see quite a few of the big guns showing good form in Oman. Boonen will be trying to win his 5th Paris Roubaix! and surpass Roger De Vlaeminck as 'Monsieur Paris Roubaix'. Boonen has also a 2nd and a 3rd place finish in the race. The Ronde (my personal favourite) will be celebrating its 100th edition this year and again Boonen with Cancellara and possibly Sagan will be starting as favourites. Pozzato has always showed potential to win this one but never the conviction. Hushovd looks to be in better form for Roubaix and Contador might be on the cards to win a classic in the Ardennes, thats if Gilbert lets him
Van Avermaet looks to be in good form and even Evans is making shapes (early in the season for him) Nibali will again fancy a win as will J Rod but the man in form at the moment, Sagan, must surely bag his first classic win this Spring. San Remo is always a hard one to call but he might hold his form for that one. Lots of speculation over the next few weeks so feel free to add your bit as it progresses.
I have included a few of the lesser know races but they are always worth watching as they usually indicate who's going to be in form for the Monuments
