    Hi All,

I've had a browse through the thread so far and I couldn't really find a specific answer to my question. If I've missed it apologies!

here's the question. Myself and a mate of mine are getting back into shape again. My mate (who's a fair bit ahead of me) has picked up running again so he's looking to pick up a few bits and bobs of running gear.

I myself really want to get back into a boxing again. Initially for the cardio workout but eventually I'd love to get back into real training again. To that end I want to pick up a few basic pieces of gear. Specifically a punching bag and some gloves. I'm fine with ordering online but I really want to touch and feel some of the things I'm going to order so I'm trying to find out what a good shop would be that could cater to us both.

    Any suggestion from anybody?

Oh and I'm looking in area of Dublin or I suppose anywhere within 50 miles from Dublin.

    appriciate any suggestion!

Are you training in a club? If so you'll need a pair of boxing boots, wraps, gloves, a gumshield and a rope. Mind your gear. I've lost two pairs of gloves over the years by doing the fool, leaving them in bags, not airing them etc. your gear will last years if you take the few minutes to look after it. Don't buy sh*t gloves. Anything under £50 will be worth absolutely nothing and will burst or fall apart after a few months. Get proper leather ones that are 16oz so you can use them for sparring as well. Don't buy those gammy gel glove things instead of wraps. Wraps are always better. Get a decent set of long ones.
