    Hmmmmmmmmmmm..... mixed feelings.

There were some really funny bits in this one, and the whole wedding bit reminded me of that "February Sweeps" episode of Popular (Ryan Murphy's show from way back). Don't care that Emma ran off, I may have been shouting at her to run, whatever. Also loved Tina calling Kurt out over Blaine, she's right you know, plus she's far better as comedy than drama, so more of that.

I'm worried that after 14 episodes of pretty much redeeming itself in my eyes that they're going to undo all that good work by trying to shoehorn another love triangle into it. I love, love, LOVE Marley and Jake. I always felt a bit cringey when ever any of the other couple were actually singing at each other specifically, but these two are just so darn cute it works for me!
I was a bit worried where they were going with Ryder being the romantic brains behind it all and so I was glad when Marley told him she knew it was him and she didn't seem to be swooning for him. But then he had to go and kiss her!!

Granted this "love triangle" still seems the most realistic (read: well acted) of all the many many many love shapes they've had on this show, and there's a small possibility that they may well handle it with care and just have Ryder deal with his feelings without it getting all needlessly dramatic or having Marley cheat on Jake or whatever. But given the past history of this show I'm dreading it :(

Three weeks until next ep, I think?

p.s. I know it was supposed to be Jake's "present" to Marley, but I thought she sounded incredible on "You're All I Need To Get By", they should give her more soul/motown style songs to sing. I like Jake's voice most of the time, but he does get that weird Kermit the Frog sound on certain notes :)

p.p.s. Further to my rant about Jake/Marley/Ryder, I'd like to point out that I really like Ryder. He was hysterical in the scene right before Jake's song, so that's another reason I don't want the typical "love triangle" story because one angle always comes out looking like a tool and I like all 3 of these kids, so DON'T BLOW IT, RYAN MURPHY, OR WHOEVER IS IN CHARGE OF THIS NOW!

Alot of interesting developments in this episode, maybe suffering from character overload again but hard to avoid given the wedding invitations to all the former classmates, it was good. Kinda felt bad for Will, don't think he deserved to be stood up like that after everything that's happened between him and Emma, but it would have been boring if they just got married without any drama so who am I to complaine. Sue was hilarious again, looking good as the bride actually, and Becky throwing the flower petals like a petulant child was brilliant. Yeah I loved the Tina going nearly bunny-boiler on Kurt, nice little round-off to her crush on Blaine, she's pretty funny! :) Didn't see the Santana/Quinn hook-up coming (as glaringly in-your-face as it may have been in hindsight, what with their conversations this episode and the slow-dancing) - they should have gotten Brittany involved and turned their unholy trinity into an unholy threesome! ;) What was the deal with Brody, is he a male escort or something?! And Rachel - is she in trouble?? Should have expected a cliff-hanger, this hiatus better be quick. :)

    LOADS of drama!
Bonus points for acknowledging Puck is creepy, double bonus for acknowledging vapo rape!.....I hope Artie and that new girl are an item, I like them together.

She was mean but it was all a front, loved the original song they did for the wedding, the reception was ace with the 80s tunes...everyone got laid!

Santana/Quinn..... , Finchel = endgame....the show said what we all know out here, lol @ gigilo...Rachel preggers?

You knew ryder would crop up, him and Jake will be at each other again

I think Marley wants jake though, she hasent wavered....this is just to create some drama

    4.5/5

    really great episode :)

Sue's whole bit while Emma was freaking out was hilarious. The bit about don't tell Will that or he'll have you singing a stripped down acoustic version of "I Will Survive" in the choir room while all the glee kids look on with meaningful looks on their faces. And how pathetic Will is that his best man is a 19 year old. I love it when they acknowledge what viewers are actually saying, but only when they do it right, which I think they did here with Sue.

Not so much when Finn was saying him and Rachel were "endgame", they may well be but nobody says that in real life.

Same as above on this one. Ryder pointing out how creepy Puck is was hilarious, as was Tina accidentally confessing to the vapo rape.

Don't think it was an original song, I'm sure it's from a musical, they just changed some of the words to suit Will/Emma.

Yeah, even when they were dancing at the very end she seemed a bit creeped out when Ryder was dancing past her, plus she knew Ryder was behind the presents but didn't seem to mind, like she was happy that Jake was trying rather than swooning over Ryder. I'm hoping they deal with this better than the random on/off relationships they've had in the past. I won't hold my breath though.

True...but they've called Will man child since season one...the show is self aware, sometimes...but a lot of other crap gets ignored.

Also points for Kurt calling Tina creepy for her Blaine obsession, twas way too weird.

Yeah, they're aware of what people are saying but they don't always address it in a way I like. Was it at the start of S2 where they had Jacob Ben Israel doing his internet video and he was basically summing up all the issues people had with the 2nd half of S1 and the glee kids were slamming him for it, saying "oh it's so easy to sit behind your computer and slam people anonymously, try getting up and doing something yourself. That I thought was a bit self indulgent from Murphy and co. and almost an up yours to the people who were actually watching the show.
Also, a few weeks ago when Brittany was telling Sam that all the lesbians in the world somehow know she was dating Santana and that they contact her and might be mad at her for dating a boy. I get what they were trying to do with that but I just thought it was stupid.

But then they sometimes get it spot on, like they did with Sue in this episode.
