Rent Relief Question

    I'm looking to claim rent relief for the last few years and have been renting before the 2010 deadline. The question I want to ask is regarding landlords PPS number. I have no problem getting my current landlords PPS number but the previous landlord ended in bad circumstances and would rather not contact him for his PPS number, is this needed to claim tax back on rent?
