    hi, i'm hoping to get onto this course next week, i have to do a pre course placement first in my local vec. has anybody any idea is this difficult? is it an exam?

    if you pass the course it say's you can go onto third level. what options are available for third level, nursing?

    I did the course last year and passed it. Its a very good course, there's a work placement module on it that requires you to do up to 240 hours work experience.

    Not too sure on what the pre course placement is about, i presume its just a interview type thing, to see what you know about the course and why you want to do it. Just research it a bit, know what it entails etc.

    There are a lot of options available for entry onto third level, and Nursing is one along with Social Care. The Nursing requires min 5 distinctions, and in certain modules such as Anatomy & physiology etc!

    I don't think a pass is good enough to go on to third level, you would need distinctions.
