Cost for a False Tooth

    I had a baby tooth hanging on for dear life and it finally broke off and fell out today. It's the tooth second from my front tooth so gap very visible. I am a medical card holder. Does anyone know roughly how much for a false tooth?

    The medical card may provide a denture for free (well the tax payer will pay for you to have it) after that its private treatment which varies depending on specification. Implant, bridge, denture etc.

    I discovered only lately that in one particular case, the taxpayer is also funding regular holidays to Thailand, and a 20/day smoking habit....it's better not to think too much about these things:(

    OP: If the gap is smallish (you can tell I'm not a dentist), perhaps it might be possible to close it by having the sides of the adjacent teeth built up? An alternative to consider anyway.

    Yes I do know the person personally, believe it or not.
    It's partially relevant for posters to be aware (the OP was, others may not) that there is no such thing as "free" health care...someone always ends up paying.

    Boards is a discussion forum, not a Q&A of officialdom.
