Hi, kind of a simpleton question.

Turned on pc and there's just a blank screen, it's an old enough pc.
Have done a full system restore (2 cds) twice over the last few years but can't find one of the cds now.

What's my best course of action?

Still have the COA sticker with the license key? "Borrow" a Windows XP CD matching your version (i.e. Windows XP Home OEM) and install from scratch. If you need device drivers, you'll get them at the manufacturer's website (or ask here).

There should be a sticker on the side, case, back with the license key no,
see the cdrom you have for version info eg windows xp home.
