I'm hoping someone can help, I've a 2 bar pump for my power shower in my en suite, my last one gave up the ghost about 3 or 4 years ago, the new one is now struggling to turn on.

My questions are, is is the brushes and if so are they easily cleaned, I really do not want to go to the expense of replacing another pump.

I took a vid of it starting up, it's not great but it will give you an idea.

    Cheers,
    D

Is your shower pump under the bath powering the shower in the ensuite? Because if so this is the fist mistake and it most likely is drawing air which will reduce its life.

It is under the bath in the main family bathroom, the ensuite is approx 7 foot away

The pump was already in situ when I moved into the house, I'm not sure there is anywhere I can move it too without ripping apart the 2 bathrooms, from listening to the pump does it sound like the pump is completely shot or will cleaning the brushes sort it out?

Do you know the make and model. Its not always the brushes. Sometimes and its usually what i first check its the propellers on the wheeel or the seal kit due to the air in the pump.It will need to be opened and checked.

I have no idea of the make, I would need to take the bath cover off and have a look, which is a total pain, I will try do it over the weekend.
