As some people may have experienced alcohol can be very harsh on the stomach. I've decided to stop drinking spirits and was wondering what is the best alcoholic drink to have. I've been told just stick to white wine and beer.

Can anyone tell me a nice beer to drink as I find most of them fairly discusting and takes me about an hour to even have a can.

And also back to the main topic what's the easiest alcoholic drink on the stomach that will still get you drunk. I know you shouldn't really set out to drink to get drunk but I don't need a lecture on drinking I've gotten plenty of them :P

A low carbonated beer is probably your best bet if you're thinking about your stomach. Lager, wheat beer (and cider) tend to be fizzier than most, with stout being less gassy.

As for recommendations I'm going to assume you've tried the mainstream beers so maybe give craft beer a try. The Porterhouse(Dublin and Cork) do some really nice stouts and O'Hara's stout is very nice as well.
