well lads i have a ford 4600 q-cab which wont lift the arms up or down, the lever inside the cab itself wont move.I have loosent up the handle but i think its something internal which is the problem. It only happened all of a sudden before this the arms wouldnt stay up they kept falling down slowly. can someone please show me in the right direction to getting her fixed up:D

first thing to do is see what you can figure out yourself before you go spending cash.
    Check the oil level.
There is a non return valve which may be sticking /failing - hence the arms going down slowly.
have you a loader? is that working well? if so then your hydraulic pump is ok.
why did the lever stick all of a sudden? maybe a pin has came out somewhere.

I saw in another tractor before where the lift wouldnt work. Turned out the pto clutch was disengaged, which also disengaged the oil pump.

On my 46, has two levers for lift. One is back full and one raises and lowers lift.

thanks for the reply yes its full of oil
theres no loader on it, it must be something inside which is acting up

You didn't kick the auxiliary services control knob by any chance?
