    VAT very little, as it would probably be the same as the EU free trade area - e.g. we pay Irish VAT not UK when we shop on amazon. Import duties, may come down.

    It's actually not as clear cut as that. Generally VAT is charged at the rate of the suppliers country unless the supplier has registered for VAT in the destination country. There is also a sales limit at which VAT must be paid at the rate of the destination country. For further clarification please see link below.
