    Hi everyone,

I was looking into starting up an LGBT Social Group for the whole of Fingal.

Basically a meet up once a week for coffee, chats a few laughs.
I got the idea when I googled it looking for a LGBT social group near me but found that there weren't any!

Not only would this act as a social group for the Fingal under 30's LGBT community but also a support network.

Let me know if anyone is interested and I'll get the ball rolling! :)

I'm not interested but suggest a few things

    1. Contact other groups around the country e.g. chiarrai amach, sOUTh, gay wexford, sunrise lgbt kildare, DIGS

    2. look at either using an email address or else meetup.com

    3. Join other groups doing events in the area; e.g. wet and wild are doing something in howth

    4. Try to hold a mixture of events e.g. walks, cinema, art, meals

    5. You might find that most people interested are 30s upwards - don't be disappointed if this happens

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
