    Hi Guys,

Does anyone have idea where the ECU of RX4 is located? Is it under the bonnet or indoor chasis? And how many Fuel Pumps has the Diesel version of RX4, ONE or TWO, and where is/are they located? Mech having trouble finding them.

Any help 'll be greatly appreciated

I'd be looking for another mechanic if he can't 'find' the ECU and injection/fuel pumps.

The ECU should be in the engine bay on the left hand side as you look in and the injection pump is run off the timing belt to the front of the engine....which is where it is on pretty much every diesel engine.

I'm not certain if the 1.9dci has a lift pump or inline pump, the 1.5dci's don't have either anyway but if it does it will either be in the tank(lift pump) or along the fuel lines under the car(inline pump).

Many thanks Nissan Doctor. I think you're right. The Mech appears to be a wannabe, you know what I mean. He'doesn't know his onions at all.

I find that if it's got a primer bulb, it doesn't have a lift pump! :)
