I realise there will be a very small market looking for a new toaster but anyway - I was yesterday and found this one down from 160 to 24 euros. This is a piece of equipment that will last forever. Bullet proof.

It's a lovely toaster - just to let you know, €7.95 for delivery.

Me too - although I've been looking for a nice toaster at a bargain price for a couple of months, so I don't feel so bad (well, that's what I'm telling myself anyway)!

It states that it has no commercial warranty.
Has it a domestic use warranty therefore ??

10 minutes ago i didn't realise we needed a new toaster...

    Thanks OP. Just purchased one.

My last Argos toaster purchase only fits the continental size bread. My Brennans slices stick out two inches
above the toaster. Does my head in!

Think it may be a pricing error, tried to place my order over the phone but it's coming up at €119 for the phone sales, I'm guessing the web price may be missing a 1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 586 ✭✭✭lowelife

IF you changed the country to UK the price shot up to £70 even when the euro price was as low as the one in the OP
So I'm guessing a pricing error

Well, it was in the "Clearance" section... so they can't say it was a misprice.

Well it wasn't an obvious misprice if it's in the "clearance" section.
So people bought it in good faith.

But until the order actually fully goes through to the point of dispatch they don't have to honour the price AFAIK. So up to the point of dispatch they can cancel it and refund your money. AFAIK there is nothing in law that forces them to honour the price once the mistake has been discovered.

I would imagine a load of first time customers all suddenly buying toasters was a bit of a give away that something was afoot! :p

I ordered the toaster right when the OP posted it. I'd love if they honoured it, but totally understand if they don't.
But my order is In Progress, and they haven't contacted me - I wonder what's happening?

Mine came today, it's lovely. So sound of them to honour the misprice, I'm very impressed.

If I was to give Mrs Bmaxi any type of household appliance as a gift for any occasion, I could expect to need several enemas to remove it from where it would be deposited.
