    - The Big Show comes out to kick off Friday Night Smackdown. He cut a promo on Del Rio, and talking about how he will become the World Heavyweight Champion on Sunday. Out comes Chris Jericho, as he talks about their history together. He also talks about the possibility of them facing one another at Wrestlemania. Booker T interrupts both men, and says that Chris Jericho will face The Big Show later tonight.

    1. Mark Henry defeated Randy Orton via disqualification. Henry was in control of the better part of the match, until Randy Orton took him out with a chair. Henry would retaliate after the match and hit the World's Strongest Slam on Orton, and stand tall over him.

    2. Tamina defeated Layla in a match that the crowd could care less about. The action was said to be really slow and that Tamina won with the Superfly Splash.

    3. Brodus Clay and Tensai defeated 3MB. After the match, the big guys celebrated until The Shield came out from the crowd. They attacked both men and laid them out. After that, The Shield cut a quick promo on Cena, Ryback, and Sheamus for their match at Elimination Chamber.

    4. The Miz defeated Cody Rhodes via submission. The crowd was really into The Miz, who fought back from Rhodes' offense early on in the match. Rhodes was in control until Miz was able to reverse his finisher and end up locking him in the Figure Four Leg Lock. Rhodes would tap out, giving the former WWE Champion the victory heading into his match against Antonio Cesaro at Elimination Chamber.

    5. Jack Swagger defeated Zack Ryder via submission. This was very similar to the match they had on Monday, with Swagger making Ryder tap out to the Patriot Act once again. Zeb Coultier cut a promo again after the match.

-The Rock came out to cut a promo about Arkansas and his match at Elimination Chamber against CM Punk. He was interrupted by Punk and Heyman on the tron and they jabbed back and forth with one another. Damien Sandow came out and interrupted The Rock. He began to bash the WWE Champion, and the segment ended when Sandow was dropped with a Rock Bottom.

    6. The Big Show defeated Chris Jericho after hitting the Knockout Punch.

Well...Jericho's return has been rather lackluster so far....

I disagree, he's been putting on great matches since he returned, he's not going to be in a main event match at WM like last year so he doesn't need to be winning matches.

They're using him in the right manner and he's putting over the top guys like Punk and Show to make them look more believable threats for their respective World Title matches.

I just feel that he's barely been back a month and he's already "just another guy".

You're right in that he's putting on good matches, but imo, wins mean nothing over him right now.As for "putting over guys the right way", that is only viable when he has credibility, which he doesn't when he's not actually won a match since his return. Ironically, it means his feud is perfect with Ziggler; two guys who a win over for the rest of the roster means jack ****. Cause there's not much other story there. Jericho doesn't seem all that bothered that Ziggler was the reason he lost his job months ago, nor does he seem bothered that he's not actually winning anything. His character is bland and offers nothing (which is a crime for Jericho given how great his characters have been over the years).

I just think if all he offers is great matches, then yeah, that's good but it's a lackluster return. Tyson Kidd offers great matches. Daniel Bryan offers great matches. I'm not expecting him to be main eventing anything, but there's a happy medium between being the top guy and the guy who loses constantly. Jericho offers very little that's unique at the moment.

(Wait, I'm sorry. He beat Daniel Bryan, didn't he. Possibly the only guy with a worse win/loss record than Jericho and Ziggler...)

Jericho came back for Mania and come back for a reason to be at Mania. Like the guys on Review A Wai I think he is being an over the top babyface so he can turn heel. Like the original plan with him vs Ryback.

OTT babyface he tried that last year too, didn't really work for him either. I assume the reason to be at Mania was da monay to quote Vince.

I'm not a big Jericho fan at all,but I've been more impressed with his promo work and matches this year, then I was with his boring/phoned in heel run to Mania with Punk last year.He looks far more motivated this year too.

    Poor Cody

I think he needed Rhodes Scholars to continue a lot more than Sandow needed it. I can see him doing jobs for the next while.

They should have got the tag titles at the RR

I wanna see Jericho get another world title reign

Cody never recovered from losing the mask. He was interesting back then. Now he is back to cookie cutter (with a tache).

Every time I see him I hear JD from Scrubs in the back of my head thinking "what a glorious mustache"

Nice "From the Vault" on SD on Sky tonight. The British Bulldogs v The Conquistadors from 1988. Never actually seen Dynamite Kid in action before.

Which one of the divas were using fake tan than ran off on the mat?
And why were they wearing it?

Will do. I know from everything I've ever read about him that he was an amazing performer. He was just before my first years of watching any kind of wrestling.

Any time I see Matt Striker now i'm always disappointed if he doesn't end up getting beat up.

Very good promo. The Rock was serious, not smiling and addressing the real issue of Punk stealing his title. I enjoyed it

Yep I only skimmed Smackdown for the Rock's, Punk's, and Dutch's promos, really enjoyed serious Rock.
