    What ever happened to wallpaper?
I mean it used to be all the rage up until the mid or late 80s but now it seem sto be a thing of the distant past.
Does anyone here still have any wall paper up in their gaff?
Any pics of funky 70s wallpaper? :D

With the increasing use of tablets and ebooks in schools, there simply isn't a demand for it to cover textbooks anymore.

cripes who doesnt have wallpaper, arent most bare walls all lumpy and not great to just paint over?
mine is papered and painted over with a lovely pale blue, but if they spent a bit more money on paint woud like to get this more expensive paint which is metalic purple and full of glitter, possibly by crown paints.

There is more of a wallpaper scene here in the Youkay with some of the posher wall papers costing many ££ per square yard.

It's not so common in Ireland anymore and I don't think many of the Celtic tiger houses were supplied with wallpaper. I'm not a fan of the stuff myself because its paper and it gets dirty like paper. If you get a blob of tomato covered in hotsauce on your wall paper you just cant attack it with whatever is necessary to remove the stain and paint over it

I think it was 4th class, my mam covered my books in leftover wallpaper from my sisters newly decorated room...pink flowers and butterflies. To be fair to her, she thought she was covering my sisters books but that still didn't prevent weeks of abuse until I couldn't take anymore and ripped it off

used to drive my poor old mam bananas, trying to find a line up through the design with a biro without actually crossing any of the pattern, stay on the plain bits ....oooh, nearly hit a bit there....
