I am in Waterford and I just spotted something shining very bright red moving away from us towards the north. My first instinct was that it is a chinese lantern but it was far to big and bright. I have seen them before and they don't look like that. Any suggestions?

Could be a sign from the heavens on the resignation of the pope just like the lightning strike on the Vatican. Or maybe not......

Clearly it wasn't anything big because it would have been seen by others.
