Contact Canavan Interiors themselves and send/email them the picture and ask them where to get it.

Here's something similar from a Dublin based shop (dlk wall designs). If Canavan don't get back to you.. Not sure about the kitchen proof though, and I don't think any manufacturer has cracked the child proofing :) if that's possible

Thanks jeanniebeanie! Yes that does look very like it, but i think there is a hint of a green colour on it rather than beige, but Canavan interniors came back to me to say that the interior designer would be the best person to ask, i just hadnt got round to asking him!
    **NO NUMBERS**

    Thanks everyone!

Looks like it alright.. The colour can look different from one photo to another but the design definitely looks the same.. Pricey though, bet you were hoping they got it from B&Q lol,

I think i had a feeling it wasnt going to be the B&Q version but i had hoped by posting here someone would have found something similar that wasnt Farrow & Ball :) I got an email back from the interior designer and it turns out youre absolutely correct it was Farrow & Ball, he didnt give me the exact model number but i reckon you guys have it!

So maybe i should have started my post by saying "can anyone find this wallpaper in somewhere other than Farrow and Ball" ;)

Shop around then, there's loads of amazing Wallpapers similar to, and even some nicer than farrow & balls but for half the price..

New Build, fair play to the interior designer, great to know! However I don't know about a substitute, As I write this I'm looking at the Farrow and Ball paper in my living room and still delighted with it 5 years on - it was defo worth the extra cash. If your anything like me I'd only think a substitute was a cheaper looking option.

Did you look at any other Wallpapers before deciding on your F&B one?
What other Wallpapers are you referring to as subsitutes? F&B copy most their styles on classic Wallpapers made long before they were around
Love to see a pic btw

I would challenge someone to show me or point me in the direction of a F&B substitute with similar quality prints and designs?

I must admit i havent yet started looking for the paper as i wanted to find the one in the picture first but i will order a sample and then perhaps look and see if i can find something similar but at the risk of sounding defeatest i doubt i will be successul :) But if youre up for a challenge.....

I looked at so many wallpaper books I'd a pain in my head from it- even looked in some big hardware chain outlets but in the end it came down to a Sanderson paper or a F&B paper-I choose the F&B paper and now 5 years on of it being up am still delighted with it - delighted with the decision to spend more and get something That looks just elegant. You can't buy a cheap paper and expect to get an expensive look like in the pic above, I wish! in my opinion and i must say im not an interior designer You pay for what you get- I knew the paper in the pic straight away because there was no mistaking that farrow and ball look. I'm sure farrow and ball didn't invent wallpaper and do copy old designs but seriously for me care factor zero it looks great up.

I don't think you'll find the exact same design on a different Wallpaper, each manufacturer have their own ideas on what looks nicer as do each customer.
And to find another wallpaper you like more than this one might be impossible if you've already decided it's the one you want.
But I certainly believe I could prove to you that their are wallpapers of far higher quality than F&B's for a cheaper price.
Just to look at: I'll post 4 images and you describe which ones and why are the more expensive!!
Then to touch: you'll need to get samples and see that for yourself, I'll pm you how to get good non F&B samples and you can get some off them easily..

I'd really love to see a pic of this Wallpaper you speak so highly of..
I don't think F&B products are worth the price they charge (for wall paint or wallpaper) but they do have some nice designs, there's no denying that..

Well thank you DublinDIYguy! The first one is quite similar in design to the F&B one and i do like it. I didnt fall in love with F*B first and then the design, i simply fell in love with that kicthen with the paper, i was disappointed when i realised it was F&B :)

So what are your recommendations for buying wallpaper? Where should i look and what should i look out for?

If that is the wallpaper you like more than any others, then get that one..
That is a really nice kitchen I have to agree on that, and the wallpaper looks really well.
If your still open to other options and have the time to spend a few hours looking at other wallpapers then there's a couple of things you could take into account.
For a kitchen area a vinyl wallpaper is more suitable, especially if the paper is gonna be close to cooking area. It's easily washable and can better withstand fumes and steam from cooking..
Paper quality is usually quite evident when you compare a cheap and a non cheap wallpaper. If you feel a <€30 a roll wallpaper they usually wont have texture and the paper will be thin.
A €30+ a roll wallpaper should be obvious by touch that it's paper is of higher quality, less likely to rip, have some texture.
I'm not going to focus on F&B as there are plenty of other wallpaper manufacturers selling wallpaper for twice what it's really worth. Interior designers will say how great these trendy expensive wallpapers and paints are, decorators usually tend not to agree..
Interior designers get a commission off the wallpapers they sell so it makes sense to recommend the ones they'll make more money off... Not to say they wont pick a fabulous wallpaper, but they could also find a fabulous wallpaper for half the price if they weren't spending your money..
I'd love to see the original pic you posted after 3 yrs of cooking and with a few kids in the house!!
I'll pm you a few outlets that I think you'll find a wallpaper that'll excite you as much as that one, but for half the price..
And you could also visit F&B and view that one before you decide..
Don't be afraid to ask them to explain the prices of the different wallpapers, cos this one looks nicer than that is opinion so doesn't explain it...
