Hi, I've a wedding in a few weeks going to head up to Kildare village or Newbridge for a dress. Anyone been to either of these lately, where would I be more likely to find a dress? trying
to keep to a budget of approx €80.

Kildare Village I'd say. Otherwise in Whitewater you are looking at the usual high street shops. In Kildare Village you could pick up a Karen Millen or Coast dress.

If you are a size 6- 12 go to Kildare Village otherwise go to Whitewater.

I'm a ten (a big ten after xmas!) are there dresses there for €80 or under? Think I'll head there first.

I love shopping in Kildare Village because you get quality materials for reasonable price but I never bought there a dress for 80 or less. :D I'm not saying you can't get them but the choice might be limited. Btw I got a great silk dress in Gerad Darel, so I would visit also less obvious shops.

I'd start in the village. My gf picked up a gorgeous Karen Millen dress on sale there for €50 once! The whitewater isn't great for fancy wear, it's mostly the bog standard high street shops.

Yeah I'd definitely go to Kildare Village- you're only a 10 so you should have no problem finding something in one of the shops there- as said already, you'd only have the usual High St shops in Whitewater so for a wedding you'd be better off in Kildare Village. Now it can be hit and miss so sometimes there's not a lot there, but you'd be unlucky not to find something suitable.

Of course it's less than 10 mins drive from one to the other so if you've a car it's very possible to go to both places!

Thanks everyone, headed up on Friday, missed turn off for Kildare village I was raging! So went to Whitewater and tried all the shops and got a dress in Awear (purple peplum) for €59 so was delighted with it. Got accessories and bag in new look. I didn't want to go to the village and see nothing and have to head back up to Whitewater again.

I've seen the Awear peplum dresses and they're gorgeous. If you're looking for shoes, the Kurt Geiger website have discounted occasion shoes, http://www.kurtgeiger.com.
