Got my first puncture on my new Felt F95 :(

Very sharp stone was stuck in the tyre. Hole is noticeable when I squeeze the tyre together.

So it might seem a stupid question but am I wiser to replace the tyre(700km on the tyre).

    Ta

    Bob

Similar to "does my bum look big in this?": PICS or GTFO.

id say cahange it, as the tyres that come with new bikes are usually rubbish, put the new tyre on the rear wheel

In the old days we would put a patch on the inside of the tire, repair the tube and keep on using it. :)

No recession in this thread talking about getting a new tyre after a puncture :P

If it's a stock tyre then maybe use it as an excuse to upgrade otherwise just work away.

Superglue the hole, if it fails again in the same spot bin it.

New tyre. You'll just feel nervous that your repair will fail and it will always fail 50km from your house in the rain.

Just do not buy coloured tyres whatever you do!

I started a thread exactly the same as this a few months back, i took the advice of superglue, using a butt, cleaned out the tire (all good advice) but after two more punctures (roads i commute on are a bit sh1t) I eventually just gave in and changed the stock tires to gatorskins, havent had a puncture since!

And like a poster said above, if you dont change it youll just be paranoid about it when out on the bike!

They re fine as long as your Gaa shorts and knee length socks match them.

Only joking. For some reason though coloured tyres cost more! Mad

It's only a bit of slagging. Do your bike as you wish and ignore the enforcers of snobbery
