    Hi all

I am looking at buying a USB to Sata/IDE converter that will work on 2.5 and 3.5 inch Hard Drives. I am happy enough to go with USB 2.0. What I want to know does anyone know if it is possible to get one that does not require external power and will work both size Hard Drives with just power from my Laptop. I am aware that this can be done with 2.5 inch Hard Drives but I think I will need external power for 3.5 inch Hard Drives

    Kind Regards

    Colm Towey
