    Hi guys I'm after getting a Volvo s40 on the cheap it's not perfect but I think a bit of tlc would make it a decent car.
    It's got a good test suspension brakes ect are all good.
    My only real issue is when driving sometimes while cruising it jerks or shudders. It has also on one occasion started idling erratically after a drive it cut out after about 30 seconds of this. It also has the fuel level problem sometimes it's ok sometimes it just reads empty with a full tank. I like the car so would like to get it running well. I'm going to do a full service have all the bits got ie. oil filter fuel filter air filter plugs. I'm not 100% on what the best oil is to use. Any tips or advice would be very much appreciated.

    Are there any other jobs I could do that might improve the engine? I'm not afraid of tinkering a little bit but not too much! :-)
