making chicken & mushroom pie.. quick silly question!!

hey all.

I'm going making chicken and mushroom pie for dinner today.
have all ingredients.
just one question!! its very silly but here goes..

I have shop puff pastry and im wondering when im making the pie do I put pastry at the bottom of the dish too? the recipes Ive been looking at dont mention pastry at the bottom but when ive had it before there was pastry at the bottom too

You could put it at the bottom if you wanted but it can go soggy. I prefer just to put it on top
