Insurance questions

I had an accident nearly 4 years ago and the insurance paid everyone out for their damages and injuries which was a sizeable amount.

I have not taken out any insurance since and don't intend to until 5 years are up. I take it I can safely say no if they ask about claims in the last 5 years?

No, that's like a first timer getting insurance and saying they have 5 years no claims because they didn't have insurance for the past 5 years anyway.

I don't think that is the intent of the OP.

The OP has asked once 5 years are up, can they start over? In my opinion yes as they only go back 5 years. So no would be a truthful answer.
