I was watching the half time stuff on the repeat of Zebre v Glasgow on Sunday night on BBC Alba.Richie Gray was interviewed as a Glasgow Warriors player and spoke of returning from Sale. I went online and can find nothing about it. He is still in the squad on the Sale website. Anyone heard anything. Was also watching LV Cup highlights on ITV4 a couple of weeks ago and he was mysteriously injured.

    From twitter:

    Ben Coles‏@bencoles_

Midi Olympique reporting that Richie Gray could join Saracens if Sale are relegated, rather than joining Toulon or Castres. #rugby

Hope this is of use to you.

They'd have Borthwick, Botha and Gray. A very strong group of locks. A shame for Eoin Sheriff who I was hoping might play Prem rugby next year.

I hope he regrets moving to Sale. He said he wasn't going for the money so it must be been some sales pitch by Diamond and Kennedy!

Would it be within the realms of possibility that if the four Lions stakeholders decided that only players playing their rugby IN their respective unions could be picked for the Lions then it would stem the loss of players? The likes of Johnny Sexton, Richie Gray, Mike Phillips et al would be cases in point.

In a similar vein, NZRFU demand that players be playing in NZ to be called up for the All Blacks.

The Lions is a very lucrative money making venture, there's no way they would restrict marketable names like Sexton or Jonny Wilkinson from playing. Their main sponsor, in this case HSBC, would be very pissed off if popular players were suddenly not eligible.

truthfully given the team they were putting together sale SHOULD of been a team with promise. How they have ended up being as bad as they are I don't know. Even with the manager merry-go-round they should of been a lot better then they are

Richie Gray's stock has plummeted having left Glasgow. Will be interesting to see where he goes next, but he needs to get out of Sale.

I think Saracens would be a good move for him. Not sure if he's suited to French rugby.
