G&P Red/Green dot sight issue.

    I'm have trouble with a G&P dot sight that a bought off a friend before Christmas. I changed the old batteries for a pair of new batteries and since then the dot would be either normal, or start to fade.

    I tried using either tinfoil or tissue to "push" the batteries a bit more further, which worked perfect for some time, but then the dot started to fade again.

    Also, when I squeeze the dot selector wheel and the cap to hold the batteries together, it will start to reappear.

    (This dot sight is roughly three years old).

    Any advise on what I could do to fix this problem?
