Looking to get my excavator ticket, but all the companies providing certification require 6 months previous experience:mad:
I was just wondering what sort of experience do they require and has anyone any experiences in this area?

It used to be a letter stating that you had 6 months experience.
Ihave provide letters with company name on them for lads that would be driving my digger occasionally.
    Have you any experience?
Is there anyone in your area that would give you a letter.
IFyou have an experience and remember what you are told in the theory part of the test you'll pass without any problems, the theory is the hardest part.
If your on social welfare you might get funding towards the test. AFAIK you need to talk to the course facilitator with social welfare used to be 2/3 cost of course.

    Thanks for the reply.

I have a bit of experience on the family farm, I did a bit of work with a 1.5 ton, 7 ton and 12 ton machines.
So all I need now is that letter saying I have experience. I'll have to ask fellas around my own area for a bit of experience so.
I'd say the theory is tricky enough alright. Also I will definetly look into the social welfare side of things. It would be great if they'd cover some bit of the cost.
