    Where should you be looking before and during this movement? Over what shoulder in what mirror etc? I'm always getting confused about this!

    This should help you. It simplifies things for you. In essence, the moving off part is exactly the same as moving off from a kerb. When reversing, complete a 360 observation from right to left before moving and look out your back window until youre Approx 1/2 way across, switch over to the right shoulder to find the kerb. Before moving off again look over your left shoulder and continue the observation to the right hand side and over that shoulder.
