WHY DO WE PAY ROAD TAX Arhhhhh

    Hi All i have to say I'm totally P'd off I've just drove through a pot hole in Beaumont hospital that has not only blown my tire which is only a month old but also dinted my alloy :( does anybody know who is responsible for the roads in Beaumont hospital ? there was also a load knocking noise from the car when turning the wheel i think I've wrecked the shocks aswell :mad::mad: I've only got the car back from being off the road for nearly 3 weeks (long story!!) and now hit a pot hole and wreck my wheel ! my Motor tax is nearly €1400 a year why the hell should we pay that when the roads are absolutely ****e ! I'm absolutely fuming so if anyone can help please do ! thanks for reading rant over !IMG_1792.JPG

    There's no such thing as road tax. Nor is motor tax specifically spent on the roads

    Beaumont hospital is private grounds right?

    Although there is potentially a public road through it, but not sure if the council would be responsible for it. Which might actually work in your favour in this instance... But I'm sure someone will know for definite.

    You must have been doing above the 15km/h limit (is it still that?) to do that much damage though. Was it an emergency? :P
