    It's the start of lent on Wednesday don't know who decided to have it day before valentines day I don't know
    But do ye observe lent I'm going off chocolate and biscuits

    Nope, I found the idea of just going off something for 40 days to be pointless unless you're going to keep it up.

    Also being an atheist make the whole non gift giving religious event less fun, I'm waiting for Easter.

    Considering what Lent is and what is it pointing to I think it is a great opportunity for me and for others who believe and trust in Jesus to put our full trust in Him.

    Usually, I try to think about where I am lacking in my Christian faith and figure out an action plan to help me resolve those areas. This year I think simply I'm going to use this time to improve the time and commitment I put into prayer.

    For me Lent is about far more than the things we give or take up, it points to Jesus. Jesus was crucified on a cross for the sake of humanity. He bore our sins and the wrath of God on our behalf so we can walk free.

    Each time I remind myself of that truth, I can't help but think how amazing and how incredible the God of the universe really is.
