Anyone else think that the shiny new Toyota car (correction Its a Hyundai) that they use look incongruous and out of place in the otherwise grungy and batterered world they live in. It doesn't even have a dent.

Never came away from an episode of TWD wanting a Toyota.
    A Crossbow - now that's a different matter......

The Hyundai ix35 they seem to drive every where seems to get the most product placement by far

Given how clean everyone is I'm surprised Gillette haven't popped up yet.

Yeah the car in TWD was just way too clean. Did they wash and wax it before setting out?

I remember seeing Hyundai run a competition (in America only) to win the same model/colour jeep as featured in the Walking Dead, so there is definitely a placement deal there I would assume.

Product placement is everywhere now, it's a fact of life. The genre really went nuclear with those Nokia phones in The Matrix. Seriously, who didn't want one? At least product placement is out in the open. What i really hate is stealth marketing, it's so sleazy and underhanded...

Here's why that Hyundai Tucson on 'The Walking Dead' is so shiny
You don't have to be an eagle-eyed sharpshooter to have noticed by now the gang on AMC's The Walking Dead drive a remarkably clean and reliable Hyundai Tucson. That's because the Korean car company has paid the show's makers to show the SUV that way.

Variety confirms what you may have suspected -- that the SUV is part of an integrated marketing campaign -- but it also explains why the vehicle is always spotless and never has mechanical trouble, despite a distinct disruption in the spare-part supply chain: The Tucson “really is a trusted partner. It’s this getaway vehicle. It’s really there to help them get out of difficult situations,” Hyundai advertising director David Matathia said, noting the show's performance among 18-to-34-year-olds attracted the carmaker from the first season.

Even the unique green shade of the car is a careful choice. Variety's Brian Steinberg told The Juice* via Twitter "it matched up with the 'palette' of the show and producers requested it." Hyundai is in negotiations to return next season.

He also explains why there's no bloodstains on it, while other cars are rusted out hunks of junk: part of the deal is that “it can’t be used as a tank. It can’t be used to roll over zombies." That's likely one of the reasons you don't see
Shane driving it anymore. Well, and that he's dead
    .

    Well,
He shaves his head in the comics, before the prison riot I think. Not sure if it will happen in the tv series though.

I have not noticed any product placement in AMCs hit show The walking dead
Even though I always enjoy a large glass of Ice cold Coca-cola when I watch it
to make sure I am wide awake and catch every second and detail of this amazing show..

Coca-cola and The walking dead TRY IT.
