Just bought a 2005 Ford Focus saloon at the weekend, I have a number of compilation Cd's that I burned on my computer and the radio doesn't seem to recognize them, they worked fine in my last car, does anybody else have this problem? is there something I can do?

    Is it a mk2 Focus?

The other half's mk2 Focus she used to own would not recognise CD's that I'd burned myself either.

Some cd players have issues with reading burnt cds. Sometime lowering the burn speed helps a bit.

Same as we had so. I remember any burned CD I had wouldn't work on it, but it didn't bother me as it was her car so I was fine.

sounds like you're burning a music cd of data files and not a music cd of audio files.
