How come the moher tax office never gets robbed?

    Here I am taxing the jeep. It's been off the road for ages. About to hand over a lump of cash. Me and another 600 people today I'm shuer.


    How come these places don't get robbed. Every little stupid shop and post office does. But these places? Full of cash and no one even tryin'

    And they were disappointed when the Tax Office of Moher couldn't compete against their opposing local tourist attraction.

    I'd imagine my local one doesn't get robbed because the place is always jammed and one of the countries biggest garda stations is next door ?

    Sure someone would call the Guards if they saw someone just sitting there holding a gun.

    Our local one is at the top of three flights of stairs so I imagine thieves wouldn't be able to make a quick enough getaway to bother

    It was yeah but theres another one here. Dunno if it opened up straight after the old one closed though.

    It's a no-brainer. I thought most people paid online these days. I can't think of any reason why anyone with basic pc skills and internet access would choose go into the office.

    Most of the motor tax classes have to be renewed in person. AFAIK it's only private and commercial that can be done online.

    Most of the vehicles yes, not most of the classes. Anyway I just looked up motortax.ie and I see that I'm half right and half wrong and I'm too tired to explain any further.
