Accommodation at or near UCC

I am planning on doing a postgraduate course in UCC in September. Having done my undergrad in NUI Galway, I am new to Cork.

So I am looking for accommodation close to UCC, that is, walking distance. Can someone tell me about the student villages? Are they like Galway in that they are occupied mainly by first or second years?

Considering that I am going into my fourth year, I am looking to live with people closer to my own age e.g. 22. So if the student villages are geared towards them younger folk(!), can anybody tell me about some estates where postgrads live or simply any recommendation?

I would stay well away from the student villages, A couple of years ago I was renting a room mid - spring semester & I had a lot of 3rd & 4th yrs desperate to rent so as to get out of the student accommodation as they had projects/exams and couldn't study due to noise.

There is supposed to be a block of apartments for masters/PhD students only - I think it's the one above the tesco express at Dennehys cross but I don't know its name. Your easiest solution is to look up the UCC accommodation office as you can filter their listings for Masters/PhD/Staff only houses
