Child's tooth falling out.

    Quick question:

When a childs tooth is about to fall out, does the new one grow up into the first ones place?
My younger sisters' first tooth is about to fall out, but you can already see another tooth coming up right behind it. Is that normal? I thought the adult teeth grew back up into the first space? Anything to be worried about?

Thank you for the replies, in advance! :P

My layman's opinion is that it is not abnormal.

That's what happened with me. I'm not saying this will happen to your sister, just sharing my experience.

My last three permanent teeth grew behind the baby teeth - in fact the baby teeth didn't fall out of their own accord and I had to get them extracted. It's not abnormal, but in my case the permanent teeth stayed there so I'd need to get braces to straighten them out again.
