At Superquinn, until 26th February, all at 89c each

Mushrooms - 150g
Onions - 700g
Parsnips - 500g
Potatoes (Rooster) - 1Kg


At Lidl, for 1 week from 11th February

Parsnips - 500g, for 59c
Apples (Green) - 1Kg, for 69c
Onions - 1Kg, for 39c
Lemons - 500g, for 49c


The 4 pack of lemons in Aldi has reminded me of this recipe from River Cottage, which is a good use for the lemon left overs if you are using them on Pancake Tuesday.

Poor selections in general though. I think Supervalu will be getting most of my business this fortnight.

Was in supervalue earlier today and they didnt have the onions,apples or broccoli as part of the 3 for 2 euro. They weren't out of stock I don't think, it looked Like they just weren't out on display as part of the offer.

Great, thanks for that! I'm finding SV great the last while, rarely go to Aldi for the super 6 anymore.

(I don't see why Lidl & Dunnes can't have the info out there on the Sunday like the others, even if the offers don't kick in 'til Monday. Lidl used to publish their offers the previous Thurs but seem to have stopped, as for Dunnes site .

At the weekend Dunnes had 1kg onions, net of oranges, iceberg lettuce and a few other things that I can't remember. 49c each. I think offer has been running for a few weeks. Don't know how much longer for.

I'm not at home but that range from Super Valu would be perfect for me. I'd eat everything on it. Whereas the others aren't great.

However, I suspect that Super Valu in particular don't always have what they advertise. Maybe I'm cynical but if stores stock miniscule amounts of cheap product merely to get people in store, it's bad form.

Superquinn had a 1kg bag of Rooster Potatoes when I was in it today for 89c. Decent sized potatoes too not the baby ones others had on offer over Xmas.
