no confidence in myself

About 4 weeks ago I had my driving test cancelled the day before by the RSA. Previous to that, my instructor said that I was doing well and I should pass. My test was rescheduled for this Wednesday and I went out today for my first lesson in 4 weeks and it was abysmal. I haven't done much driving in the last 4 weeks because our manual car was in repair and it's only back a few days. I was all over the place in the lesson and by the end of it my instructor pretty much said I had forgotten everything and that it would be pretty much useless to practice between now and then because I would fail.

I don't even know if it's worth going out tomorrow...I've lost all confidence in myself. Is there a chance I can get back to where I was a few weeks ago with a days practice?

Dont give up, Thats the worst thing you can do.

Go an get a couple more lessons under your belt and have one of your parents go out in the evening time with you for an hour driving to go over everything you did in your lesson.

It will all come back to you quick enough.

and on the day of your test, get a pretest before it and you'll be fine, ont let it get to you.

I would still go out tomorrow and give it a go. It's too late to cancel now without losing money and at least you would have the experience of what happens before your next test, if you need one.

You might just pass, you never know. It's all about what happens on the day. I'm firmly of the belief you could pull ten fully licensed drivers off the road any day and get them to sit the test and a number of them would fail it.

It took me seven attempts, though I had been driving a motorbike fully licenced for years. I could have given up and there were very many friends who got a right laugh out of my failures, but here we are now, I've passed and am accident free unlike many of my first-time pass 'pals'.
