I have a Walker Combi box and have terrestrial channels no problem.

After getting a Satellite and putting it up on the side of the house and running the cables into the house I am having difficulty installing Satellite channels on the box. I have tried scanning every satellite (Amos, Astra etc) twice I get no results.

After trying all different combinations all day im out of Ideas.

    Any ideas appreciated

You need to just scan astra/eutelsat. Have you got the dish aligned properly to astra 28.2?

You'd need a satellite meter or a sat beeper. Beepers are cheap but you cant tell which satellite you have aligned to and if your not familiar with satellites it is fairly tricky. The alternative is that if you have a dish up for sky you can also connect the combi box to the dish for the free to air channels. A competent local installer may be your only choice.

If it's your first time setting up na dish I would recommend calling a local installer. If you have the dish mounted on the south eact side of the house already (you have done that?) they may point it and get it working for possibly 50 Euro.

If you have never aligned a dish before you could spend 10 or 20 hours and get nothing. There arer guides on youtube and the internet, there are websites that can help, but an installer could do it in 15 minutes, job done. For first time beginner I would allow 3 hours googling and another 3 to 4 hours outside pulling your hair out.
