New Radio in VW Bora / Golf MK IV - Help.

    Hi guys,

I'm in the process of removing the stock double din head unit (Delta 6) From my VW Bora (The dash is the same as a MK IV Golf) and I'm going for the Alpine CDE W235T unit. (Halfords have them on sale for €200). I've got the radio release keys and the PC2-69-4 cable online (this part is €23 in Halfords!)

All was well until I look at the connections when I took the radio out - my PC2-69-4 cable doesn't seem to fit with the connections I took out form the stock radio. When i googled up a photo of the rear of the Alpine radio it looks like I might need different connections.

Please have a quick look at the photos and post up any helpful advice if you can.

    Thanks in advance.

    G

    What doesnt fit?
Are those 2 cables from the kit?
Do the new cables fit the new radio?

The original connector block at the back of the radio looks as if the standard sizes ISO blocks contained within the block can be separated?

Most head unit manufactures usually include their proprietary connectors that plug and play into standard ISO connectors.

No they can't be seperated. Part of the connections are part of the block so will need another adaptor, and possibly and antenna loom. Looks like the connection i need is pc-2-75-4

AFAIK the new radio which i'm gonna buy - haven't yet - doesn't have any connecting cables with it. They have to be bought separately.

    Thanks

    G.
