    This might work.

    1- Turn on Philips DVD
    2- Open DVD tray
    3- Leave it open
    4- Press 7 8 9 OK Zero

A small 0 should appear immediately on the screen, to the lower left-hand side. Your DVD player is now region free. Should you want it set permanently to a region, just change "0" to whichever region you want.

NOTE: When using Region 2 DVD players, make sure you go to the Setup, and choose NTSC as your TV output. Choosing Multi crops the picture.

    1. Power on
    2. Open tray
    3. Press on the remote 9,9,9,9 and 0 for Region Free
    4. Turn Off and then On
    5. Now player is region free

    This might work.

    Also try this.

    I've tried this: -
    a. turn on player
    b. press the home key on the remote and only go to SetUp, do not press 'OK'
    c. type on remote: 1 3 8 9 3 1 0 8 5 2 0

This will show the settings of the player
    Region Codes: DVD(0) BD(B)

That's all I did and it worked!!!

If this doesn't work, try going to www.videohelp.com, someone there might be able to help you further.
