Love the opening of Vagrant Story. Really exciting and the fact that most of it is playable helps.

FFVII has got to be up there, the zoom out from Aeris to see Midgar, then back in to watch the train pull up to the station and you hop out, playable, completely seamlessly, had never seen anything like it before.
